Between The Artist winning the Oscar for Best Picture, and the new buzzed-about film adaptation of The Great Gatsby starring Leonardo DiCaprio, a 1920s cultural revival is well under way. From feather-embellished florals to romantic color combinations, the Jazz Age is even making its way into the wedding scene.

And it’s what inspired our first VaseOff! Design Challenge. Keep reading!

Supermodel Kate Moss helped bring this “roaring” era back to life at her 2011 nuptials to rocker Jamie Hince. Every detail was perfect for the modern day Daisy Buchanan — including a jazz band playing in the garden, lanterns hanging from fruit trees, and antique wicker chairs arranged on the lawn. Nosegays of soft apricot and lilac roses adorned tabletops. There was even a Hollywood boudoir style “Second Looks Tent” for guests to do a wardrobe change. View the Vogue slideshow for every stunning special touch.

“I wanted it to be kind of dreamy and 1920s, when everything is soft-focus,” Moss told Vogue. “‘The Great Gatsby.’ The code name was GG for a while. That light and that kind of fun decadence. It’s rock-’n’-roll ‘Great Gatsby’!’”
